PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a COseparation and removal apparatus of which energy consumption is reduced than a conventional apparatus.SOLUTION: A COremoval apparatus separates and removes COor HO or both of them from gas containing COand HO by using solid COcapture material. The apparatus includes: the capture material which can capture HO and CO; a reaction vessel with the capture material arranged inside; an HO measuring instrument for measuring HO concentration in the gas; an HO concentration adjustment device for adjusting the HO concentration in the gas; means of controlling the HO concentration adjustment device based on information obtained by the HO measuring instrument; a gas distribution device which introduces mixed gas containing COand HO in the reaction vessel and makes it contact with the capture material; a gas distribution device for discharging the mixed gas from the reaction vessel after making the gas contact with the capture material; and a gas distribution device for discharging the gas desorbed from the COcapture material from the reaction vessel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
