PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll press apparatus in which wrinkles occurring in a strip electrode after press can be suppressed.SOLUTION: In roll press apparatus 1 where a strip electrode A having an active material layer B formed on a strip metal foil C is conveyed while being assisted by conveyance rolls 4, 5 arranged on the upstream side and downstream side of press rolls 2, 3, and the active material layer B of the strip electrode A during conveyance is pressed by means of the press rolls 2, 3, the conveyance roll 5 arranged immediately after the press rolls 2, 3 on the downstream side of the press rolls 2, 3 has a diameter that is larger on the central side than on the end side in the axial direction of the roll.
