PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of estimating the wear of a tire, capable of improving estimation accuracy.SOLUTION: A method of estimating the wear of a tire includes the steps of: preparing a test tire which can rotate about a center shaft, and has a first tread surface, a second tread surface disposed adjacently to the first tread surface in a circumferential direction of the center shaft, and a lateral groove provided between the first tread surface and the second tread surface and including a lag groove or a sipe; measuring the friction energy of a first measurement part defined on the first tread surface; measuring the friction energy of a second measurement part defined on the second tread surface; and estimating the heel and tow wear of the test tire, on the basis of difference between the friction energy of the first measurement part and the friction energy of the second measurement part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
