PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overdrive current calculation method capable of calculating an overdrive current automatically when becoming an overdrive voltage automatically, and to provide a power supply device for illumination.SOLUTION: Rated current of a rated voltage can be probed via probe means. After probing (calculating) the rated current, strobe lighting is performed. Lighting while increasing the current being fed to the LED lighting is repeated. Since the voltage applied to the LED lighting changes, the voltage is measured. The strobe lighting is continued until the voltage thus measured becomes the overdrive voltage. The current when the voltage becomes the overdrive voltage is the overdrive current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
