PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device of treating fluoride ion-containing drain water which makes it possible to obtain a high fluoride ion blocking rate in reverse osmosis membrane treatment for fluoride ion-containing drain water in an acidic area with a pH of 4 to 6.SOLUTION: A device of treating fluoride ion-containing drain water comprises a reverse osmosis membrane module 14 that passes fluoride ion-containing drain water through a reverse osmosis membrane under the condition of pH 4 to 6 to separate it into permeable water and concentrated water. The reverse osmosis membrane has ζpotential of less than -1 mV in pH 4 to 6 and also has corrected permeable water volume of less than 0.94 m/day/MPa.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
