PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen-containing secondary alkanethiol capable of providing perfumery or foods and drinks with meat, coffee, and sesame-like aromas having a fragrant roasted feeling, and a tropical fruits-like aroma, and to provide a perfume composition containing the compound as an active ingredient.SOLUTION: Provided are a perfume composition containing an oxygen-containing secondary alkanethiol represented by a formula (1) as an active ingredient, and the oxygen-containing secondary alkanethiol represented by the formula (1).
