PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily establish a communication path between particular devices inside and outside a firewall.SOLUTION: A management server comprises: a server side establishing unit 359 that establishes an always-on communication session between an internal sharing setting unit that registers lending relating information and a gateway device; and a connection instructing unit 367 that transmits a connection instruction to give an instruction to relay communication between an MFP and a cloud server via the always-on communication session in response to receiving a connection request to specify the MFP. The gateway device comprises: a first communication session establishing unit that establishes a first communication session with the cloud server in response to receiving the connection instruction; a second session establishing unit that establishes a second communication session with the MFP; and a relay unit that relays communication between the cloud server and the MFP using the first communication session and the second communication session.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
