PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively manufacturing a large amount of oxide hollow particles having high particle strength in which no hole exists in an outer shell.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing oxide hollow particles having a mean particle size of 0.5-20 μm by spray pyrolysis method includes three-stage heating steps: a drying step of removing a solvent from spray droplets of a solution containing an element constituting an oxide; a step of forming oxide hollow particles by thermally decomposing dried particles; and a step of melting a surface of the oxide hollow particles thus formed.SELECTED DRAWING: None
