PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission capable of simplifying a control at a time of disengaging a dog-clutch engagement mechanism to shift gears.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission is configured so that, at a time of shifting a predetermined gear position set by engaging a first engagement mechanism for engaging two members by engagement between a first dog gear teeth 20 and a second dog gear teeth 21 including inclined surfaces 27 and 28 formed thereon, respectively to a desired gear position set by disengaging the first engagement mechanism, a thrust force is generated for allowing the inclined surfaces of the respective dog gear teeth 20 and 21 to contact each other and separating one member from the other member so that the first engagement mechanism can be disengaged, and the automatic transmission comprises a pressing mechanism 22 pressing one of the members so as to keep a state in which the inclined surfaces 27 and 28 contact each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
