PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content transfer method by which display of contents at a client is not interrupted even in the case where types of contents transferrable to the client are changed during streaming reproduction of contents at the client.SOLUTION: The content transfer method for transfer of contents from a server to the client includes: transmitting a list indicating types of contents transferrable to the client from the server to the client, the list including types of contents of which the bit rates in encoding the contents can be changed within a predetermined range; encoding the contents at the server using the bit rate designated as an upper limit of the bit rate in encoding the contents when the bit rate within the predetermined range indicated in the list is designated from the client during the transfer of the contents; and transferring the encoded contents from the server to the client.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
