PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image management device, by which a job-site image captured in a remote location is automatically registered so as to be promptly shared between participants, and a method thereof.SOLUTION: An image management device 1 is configured to automatically register one or more images transmitted from a transmission device 5 together with positional information indicating a position where the images are created, while sorting the images for each case. The image management device 1 includes: sorting means by which, in the case where a condition of grouping for sorting one or more images as the same case on the basis of the positional information is added to the images, the images are sorted for each case in accordance with the condition and in the case where the condition is not added to the images, the images are sorted in accordance with a condition of point grouping for defining the images as the same case as other images within a predetermined distance from the images; sort condition registration means by which the condition and the images are associated and stored in sort condition storage means 11; and image registration means for storing data of the images in image storage means 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
