PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite chamfering apparatus of a small footprint ingot print, and a chamfering method using the apparatus.SOLUTION: In a composite chamfering apparatus 1, two loader/unloader mechanisms 13 and 13' are positioned in parallel at the front central part. A pair of coarse grinding axes and a pair of finishing grinding axes in a conventional composite chamfering apparatus are made into grindstone axis head structures 10 and 10 of a composite structure of a pair of a course grindstone axis and a finish grindstone axis having a common grindstone axis, so that an ingot block of a length of 600 to 1,000 mm can be chamfered without augmenting a foot print.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
