The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cancer, comprising: ganglioside or a sugar chain thereof; and a cytotoxic drug for inducing the generation of active oxygen species. The drug is capable of minimizing side effects of the cytotoxic drug in comparison with single treatment of the cytotoxic drug for inducing the generation of ganglioside or active oxygen species, and exhibiting the elevated anticancer effects. In addition, the drug can be effectively applied to a patient with the cancer having resistance to the conventionally used cytotoxic drug. |
