PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development apparatus that performs transmission and disconnection of torque between a plurality of stirring members in which transmission and disconnection of torque is reliably functioned while avoiding the use of a large development apparatus.SOLUTION: A development apparatus 20 according to the present invention comprises stirring means 30 for stirring developer inside a housing 21. The stirring means 30 includes: a first stirring member 32; a second stirring member 33; an engaging part (protrusion part 37) which rotates together with the first stirring member 32; and an engaged part (recess part 38) which rotates together with the second stirring member 33. In the case where rotation torque added to the second stirring member 33 is less than a predetermined torque, the protrusion part 37 and the recess part 38 are engaged with each other in a rotation direction. In the case where rotation torque of a predetermined torque or more is added to the second stirring member 33, engaging of the protrusion part 37 and the recess part 38 is cancelled by making the protrusion part 37 move in an axial direction with respect to the recess part 38.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
