PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can cause flat pigment (pigment in a flat shape) constituting an image to have an attitude in which each of flat surfaces of the pigment extends along a surface of a recording medium.SOLUTION: A control part controls respective parts to form a glossy image on a sheet member P once passed through a fixing nip NF. Thus, the attitude of pigment 110 becomes an attitude in which each of flat surfaces 100A of the pigment 110 extends along a surface of the sheet member P compared with the case where the glossy image is not formed on the heated sheet member P. The attitude in which each of the flat surfaces 100A extends along a surface of the sheet member P improves a flop index value compared with the case where each of the flat surfaces 100A does not extend along a surface of the sheet member P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
