PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic nightstick having a configuration in which a lock mechanism can be easily and positively turned on or off.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a telescopic rod including a first rod-like body 1 and a second rod-like body into which the first rod-like body 1 is inserted. The first guide member 9 that can be inserted into the second rod-like body is connected to the first rod-like body 1, the first guide member 9 is provided with a first key storing groove 10 crossing at a right angle in an axial direction to which a first key 11 is rotatably and freely fitted. The first key 11 is a half-moon shape key having a base body part and a retractable part. One end side of the base body part is pivotally supported and the other end side is biased to enable the retractable part to be retracted. An inner circumferential surface of the second rod-like body at its end part is provided with an annular storing groove for storing the retractable part of the first key 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
