PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte which makes possible to obtain a secondary battery arranged so that gas generation is suppressed even when being charged and discharged with a high voltage.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment of the invention, a nonaqueous electrolyte comprises a diphosphine-based compound expressed by a predetermined formula. It is inferred that the addition of the diphosphine-based compound to the nonaqueous electrolyte allows a stable coat film to be formed on a positive electrode in initial charge and discharge. The coat film enables the suppression of the oxidative decomposition of a component in the nonaqueous electrolyte in charge and discharge (especially in charge and discharge with a high voltage), and the suppression of gas generation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
