PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic sensor device capable of suppressing degradation of signal output from magnetic substances contained in a paper sheet with a smaller and inexpensive magnetic flux generation member even when the paper sheet is conveyed on any vertical position of a conveyance path.SOLUTION: The magnetic sensor device includes a magnetic flux generation member 2 arranged at one side of the conveyance path; and a magnetoelectric transducer 5 which is arranged while facing the magnetic flux generation member 2 across the conveyance path, and converts changes of a magnetic flux &phgr;, into an electric signal, from the magnetic flux generation member 2 caused by the magnetic substance component F of a paper sheet S conveyed on the conveyance path 8. The magnetic flux generation member 2 is composed of a first permanent magnet 21 and a second permanent magnet 22. The direction of magnetic polarization P1 of the first permanent magnet 21 is opposite to the direction of magnetic polarization P2 of the second permanent magnet 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
