PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for a lubricating oil which can sufficiently increase the fluidity of a lubricating oil at low temperature, has excellent heat stability and can be effectively used in various base oils, and to provide a lubricating oil composition comprising the additive for a lubricating oil.SOLUTION: There are provided: an additive for a lubricating oil comprising a (meth)acrylic polymer (A) having a weight average molecular weight of 500 to 5000 and a lubricating oil composition comprising the additive for a lubricating oil in the ratio of 0.05 to 10 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of a base oil. The additive for a lubricating oil has a ratio of an acrylate compound to the total structural monomer of the (meth)acrylic polymer (A) of 80 to 100 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
