PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable scroll compressor in which a back pressure chamber having an intermediate pressure between a suction pressure and a discharge pressure is formed over the sides of the back face and the side face of a movable scroll to enable low-compression-ratio operation.SOLUTION: A scroll compressor 10 includes a fixed scroll 31 having an outer edge 33, and a movable scroll 35 having a movable side end plate 36. The outer edge has a thrust face 33b contacting a front face 36a of the movable side end plate. In a compression chamber Sc formed between both scrolls, fluid is compressed. Over the sides of a back face 36b and a side face 36g of the movable side end plate, a back pressure space Sb2 having an intermediate pressure is formed. Between the thrust face and a front face 36a, a sealing part 80 is formed to seal the compression chamber and the back pressure space. On the side of the back face of the movable side end plate, a strong seal adjustment part 81a and an ordinary seal adjustment part 81b are formed to adjust the seal strength of the strong seal part 80a to be higher and to adjust the seal strength of the other than the strong seal part to be lower, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
