PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing device that ensures a stand-by place for a sheet ejected from an image forming apparatus during post-processing, without interfering with a reduction in the size of the image forming apparatus, and that achieves a further increase in the processing speed of a job by speedily moving a sheet from the stand-by place to an operation space.SOLUTION: A post-processing device (150) comprises: a first tray (200) on which a sheet ejected in an X-axial direction from a sheet ejecting part (42); a push-out member (260) that moves in a Y-axial direction on the first tray, thereby pushing out a sheet accommodated on the first tray, in the Y-axial direction, and then retracts from above the first tray after pushing it out; a second tray (210) on which sheets, pushed out from the first tray by the push-out member, are stacked; and a guide member (270) that holds a sheet, newly ejected from the sheet ejecting part, above the push-out member, thereby letting this sheet stand by in a position where it is not pushed out by the push-out member, and then accommodates the sheet on the first tray after the push-out member retracts from above the first tray.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16 |
