Disclosed are a resource management method for device-to-device (D2D) communications, and an apparatus thereof. The method of the present invention comprises the following steps: setting wireless connection with a base station; being allocated with a resource for D2D communications by the base station through the wireless connection; performing the D2D communications by using the allocated resource in the idle status after the wireless connection is released; and releasing the allocated resource when a paging message, which indicates the release of the allocated resource, is received from the base station.
