PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of correcting thermal displacement of a spindle at low cost, and obtaining an excellently processed surface, and to provide a control method of the machine tool.SOLUTION: The machine tool includes: a spindle 40; a spindle holding body 30 including at least one flow path through which fluid flows, to be thermally displaced so that a rotation axis of the spindle tilts according to temperature of the fluid flowing through the at least one flow path; an inclination derivation unit 70 for deriving an inclination of the rotation axis of the spindle; a fluid supply device 90; a flow path 100 for cooling the spindle, for supplying fluid supplied by the fluid supply device, to the spindle, as fluid for cooling the spindle; a heating flow path 110 for supplying heating fluid formed of the fluid for cooling having passed through the spindle, to the at least one flow path of the spindle holding body; and a controller 80 for adjusting a flow rate of the heating fluid flowing through the heating flow path, on the basis of the inclination of the rotation axis of the spindle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
