PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents an increase of burden on a cleaning blade, which is a problem especially for a small-diameter toner.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a powder supply device 55 that supplies oil silica 551 that forms a dam 57 held between a photoreceptor 51 and a cleaning blade 561 to prevent a residual toner 80 from passing therethrough, in an area of the photoreceptor 51 after transfer of a toner image and on the upstream of the cleaning blade 561. The powder supply device 55 supplies a mixture of oil silica 551a having a relatively large average particle diameter and a relatively spherical shape, and oil silica 551b having a relatively small average particle diameter and a relatively indeterminate shape.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
