The present invention relates to an overspeed phenomenon prevention system and method of a diesel engine, which normally supplies driving power to a local control panel and a governor control panel using an additional battery and a latch type solenoid valve to control the diesel engine or safely stop the diesel engine even in the case of black-out and a total loss state of a UPS, wherein the system comprises: a direct current uninterruptible power supply apparatus having a direct current battery, receiving direct current power to be charged, and supplying the charged direct current power if the direct current power under supply is cut off; an alternating current uninterruptible power supply apparatus receiving alternating current power to be charged, and supplying the charged alternating current power if the alternating current power under supply is cut off; the local control panel converting the direct current power, supplied by the direct current uninterruptible power supply apparatus, into engine shutdown control voltage to output the converted voltage; a governor actuator control panel having an emergency power supply unit, converting the alternating power, supplied by the alternating power uninterruptible power supply apparatus, into governor actuator control voltage to output the converted voltage and supplying the governor actuator control voltage via the emergency power supply unit in the case that the alternating current uninterruptible power supply apparatus does not supply the alternating current power; and an engine unit having a first emergency stop solenoid valve corresponding to the engine shutdown control voltage of the local control panel. Accordingly, the present invention can prevent the damage phenomenon of the diesel engine. |
