The present invention relates to a novel promoter which can specifically induce the expression of a specific gene in a specific growth and development period of a plant and, more specifically, to a novel promoter BrCYP78A5a which has organization and development-specific characteristics that exhibit the expression spatially in a male gametophyte and a female gametophyte being developed in a flower and temporally in the early development of male and female gametophytes, in other words, which specifically induces the expression of a gene in the early development of a gametophyte in brassica, and to the use thereof.
