PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of improving security during communication between an external device and a communication apparatus.SOLUTION: A system is formed by connecting a communication apparatus and an external device. The external device includes: communication means for communicating with the communication apparatus; control means which executes a function corresponding to operation information received from the communication apparatus; and notification means which modifies operation information allocated by function every time connected to the communication apparatus, and encrypts the modified operation information to be transmitted together with decryption information to the communication apparatus. The communication apparatus includes: communication means for controlling communication with the external device; control means which controls the external device by causing the transmission means to transmit the operation information for causing the external device to execute a predetermined function, to the external device; and acquisition means which receives the operation information encrypted and modified in the external device every time connected to the external device, together with the decryption information, and acquires the modified operation information by decrypting it with the decryption information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
