PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive heating of a fixing roller, while maintaining image forming speed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes: a fixing section 103 that heats a sheet for fixing toner to a sheet, and having a plurality of heaters 111 arranged in a predetermined direction and configured to perform heating independently; an acquisition section 101 which acquires information on software running on a terminal, from the terminal connected to the image forming apparatus 1; and a heating control section 102 that decides a size of an estimated sheet which is estimated in response to an image forming instruction from the software, on the basis of the information acquired by the acquisition section 101, and causes one or more heaters of the heaters 111, which are at least partially included in a predetermined length range of the estimated sheet, to perform heating.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
