PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head unit improved in accuracy of ink pressure by measuring not gas pressure in an ink bottle away from a head but ink pressure of an ink flow passage.SOLUTION: An ink jet head unit includes: an ink jet head 10 having a plurality of nozzles with discharge ports 27, an inlet port 31 and an outlet port 32; a supply pipe 33 of ink to the inlet port 31 in the ink jet head 10 and a discharge pipe 34 of ink from the outlet port 32; a sensor 35 which is provided in the supply pipe 33 and the discharge pipe 34 so as to measure each ink pressure by liquid contact to the ink; and a controller 36 for adjusting pressure of ink drops in the nozzles by deformation driving of the nozzles due to a measurement value of the sensor 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
