PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treatment method capable of obtaining a sludge cake having a low moisture content at a low cost while avoiding the enlargement of treatment equipment and the prolongation of treatment time.SOLUTION: A waste water treatment method according to the present invention includes: pH adjustment steps S2, S3 of adjusting the pH of waste water containing copper ions to an alkaline pH so as to precipitate copper hydroxide; a flocculation step S4 of adding a flocculant to the waste water after the pH adjustment steps S2, S3; and a solid-liquid separation step S5 of solid-liquid separating the waste water after the flocculation step S4.
