PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device advantageous in automatically mounting a stop ring on a stop ring mounting groove.SOLUTION: A guide member 22 is lowered from a standby position P2 to an abutting position P3 in a mounting position P1 of a workpiece 12. A stop ring 10 is placed on an inclined guide surface 28, and a plurality of leg pieces 20 are lowered from an upper limit position P4 to a lower limit position P5. With this lowering, tip ends 2002 of the leg pieces 20 are abutted on a plurality of portions spaced apart in a circumferential direction of the stop ring 10, the tip ends 2002 of the leg pieces 20 displace outward in a radial direction of the inclined guide surface 28, and the plurality of leg pieces 20 are elastically deformed by the inclined guide surface 28. The stop ring 10 is moved downward by the plurality of leg pieces 20, and its diameter is increased by the inclined guide surface 28. When the plurality of leg pieces 20 are positioned in the lower limit position P5, the stop ring 10 passes through an outer circumferential surface 1202 of the workpiece 12, and is mounted on the stop ring mounting groove 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
