PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end face grinding device which can form, for example, a flat end face into a curved shape with an arc-shaped cross section, and can evenly grind (polish) the curved arc-shaped end face.SOLUTION: An end face grinding device grinds an end face of a workpiece so as to form a projected curved surface in cross section. The end face grinding device includes a workpiece holding part 3 for holding the workpiece, and a swing device 7 for swinging the workpiece. The workpiece holding part includes: a workpiece slide part 21 for holding the workpiece so that the workpiece can advance and retreat in a direction which the end face as a face to be ground faces; and a pressing part 22 which extrudes the workpiece in the direction which the end face faces with a set force. The swing device is formed so as to swing the workpiece with a direction orthogonal to the direction, which the end face faces, as a swing axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
