METHOD FOR COUPLING FEMTOCELL WITH WIFI AP IN SDN

The present invention relates to a method for coupling a femto base station and a Wi-Fi access point (AP) in software defined networking (SDN) which minimizes inconvenience in use. The method comprises the following steps: (a) a femto base station detects a situation of a mobile communications terminal, and reports the fact to a SDN controller by passing through a SDN switch; (b) the SDN controller passes through the SDN switch and the femto base station, and activates own Wi-Fi module of the mobile communications terminal to order to access a neighboring Wi-Fi AP; (c) the mobile communications terminal accesses to the Wi-Fi AP after activating the own Wi-Fi module while being coupled to the femto base station; (d) the SDN controller receives a wireless status report message including each wireless channel status information from the femto base station and the Wi-Fi AP; (e) the SDN controller determines whether an off-road is possible or not by checking that the wireless channel status of the femto base station and the Wi-Fi AP satisfies a predetermined condition; and (f) the SDN controller commands to the SDN switch to transceive data by passing through the femto base station when the off-road is not possible according to the determined result from step (e), and meanwhile commands to the SDN switch to transceive data by passing through the Wi-Fi AP when the off-road is possible.
