The invention relates to a process for preparing standardized extracts with antimicrobial-antioxidant effects. According to the invention, the process comprises the extraction of the starting material consisting of Epilobium parviflorum herba or Lythrum salicaria herba, common burdock leaves or black aronia leaves, dried, homogenized and ground, at the reflux temperature, with ethanol 70%, for 1 h, in extraction ratios of 1:10...20, after which each ethanol extract is analyzed as far as the total polyphenol content, expressed as gallic acid, is concerned, the filtered alcoholic solutions are concentrated, and the products are taken again, in ethanol 70%, at the standard concentration of 50 mg total polyphenols expressed as gallic acid per 1 ml of plant extract, resulting in standardized plant extracts. |
