This portal crane (2) is provided with: a pair of leg portions (8, 9) that are arranged so as to be spaced apart in a direction intersecting with the travel direction of the portal crane (2); a girder (10) that spans between the pair of leg portions (8, 9); and a runaway prevention device (14) that constrains the bottom side of the leg portions (8, 9) to the ground. In this fixing method for a portal crane (2), the bottom side of the leg portions (8, 9) is constrained to the ground using the runaway prevention device (14), and ground-side fixing portions (35, 36) provided in front of or behind the portal crane (2) in the travel direction are connected to the girder (10) or leg portions (8, 9). |
