PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the ink amount utilized for image recording by preventing an excessive overlapping of ink for a plurality of color components while suppressing a change in image color.SOLUTION: When an overlapping ink amount is a threshold ink mount or more in an overlapping region made of a dot group around a first object color component occurring at a target pixel position, an image recording device 1 carries out correction to reduce dots of a plurality of first object color components in a group of correction object pixel positions around target pixel positions with respect to a temporary halftone image data of the plurality of first object color components, and carries out correction to add dots of second object color components to a target pixel position. This operation can prevent an excessive overlapping of ink of the plurality of first object color components at each pixel position made of dots formed at a pixel position around each pixel position while suppressing a change in image color when recording an image to a recording medium 9 to reduce the ink amount utilized for image recording.
