When a move button which is added to the object detects an operation of a user, the processor edits the display setting data so that display positions of the relevant object and an object which is paired with the relevant object are exchanged.

1. An image processing apparatus comprising:
a display to display a plurality of defined objects, each of which is assigned with a function of the apparatus by a user, and detects an operation of the user for selecting the relevant function, in a display screen; a processor which executes an operation for the function assigned to the object which has detected the operation of the user, out of the objects; and a memory which stores display setting data for displaying the objects in the display screen; wherein in an edit mode for editing a display position of the defined object in the display screen, the processor makes the plurality of defined objects to be displayed on the display based on the display setting data, and in a state that a move button which detects an operation of a user for instructing exchange of display positions between a first defined object out of the plurality of defined objects and a second defined object to be displayed at a position close to the first defined object is added to at least one defined object out of the first defined object and the second defined object based on the display setting data, the processor makes the first defined object and the second defined object to be displayed on the display, and when the processor judges that the operation of the user is detected by the move button, the processor changes the display setting data so that the display positions of the first defined object and the second defined object are exchanged.
