A method of processing a web for manufacturing packaging is provided. The method comprises printing an image on a first side of a substantially continuous web and depositing a heat seal adhesive on a second opposite side of the web. The adhesive is deposited in a predetermined pattern on the second side of the web. The pattern corresponds to one or more heat seals that can be formed when the web is used to manufacture packaging.
