PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external skin preparation with smooth use feeling which is effective in improving the condition of skin.SOLUTION: An external skin preparation of the present invention is a foamable external skin preparation having at least a solid acid substance and a solid carbonic acid gas generating substance which generates carbonic acid gas by reacting with the acid substance, which further contains at least one type selected from a cellulose derivative and a starch derivative as polysaccharide or a derivative thereof, and at least one type selected from alginic acid or a salt thereof, carrageenan, guar gum, locust bean gum, hydrophilic natural polymer being xanthan gum or tamarind gum (note that alginic acid or a salt thereof is excluded when sodium carboxymethyl cellulose is contained as cellulose derivative), and the external skin preparation is mixed with a water-containing substance when used. |
