PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device and electronic equipment capable of improving moisture-proof property.SOLUTION: An electro-optic device includes an element substrate 10 and a counter substrate 20 arranged opposing to the element substrate 10, while interposing a seal material 14. The arrangement is such that the ratio of the length L from side faces 10b, 20b of the element substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20 to the seal material 14 is 50-300, with regard to the length H being the distance between the element substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20. A barrier film 41 is disposed so as to cover the seal material 14 and at least part of side faces 10b, 20b of the element substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20. |
