The present invention relates to a POS system and a driving method therefor, and to a POS system using an input of multiple sequential fingerprint sets and a driving method therefor, wherein the POS system: sequentially receives two or more fingerprints from a credit card owner when a payment is made by a credit card in a POS terminal so as to code a recognition result according to an input order and then encoding the recognition result together with card information and a time stamp, thereby transmitting the encoded information to a payment server, and thus prevents damage caused by the leakage of payment information or hacking and the like; and has multiple sets of inputted fingerprints such that a plurality of payers can jointly use a single credit card. The present invention provides the POS system using an input of multiple sequential fingerprint sets and the driving method therefor, the POS system comprising: a POS terminal sequentially receiving two or more fingerprints from a credit card owner making a payment with a credit card so as to code a recognition result according to the input order, and encoding the recognition result together with card information and a time stamp so as to transmit the encoded information to a payment server; the payment server receiving, from the POS terminal, fingerprint set input information generated by coding the recognition result after sequentially receiving the two or more fingerprints, the card information, and the time stamp, so as to determine the validity of a payment time using the time stamp, inquiring into information provided in a subscriber DB, and distinguishing and comparing one or more pieces of fingerprint set information so as to approve the payment; and the subscriber DB for storing one or more fingerprint data sets to be compared with fingerprint set image recognition data inputted to the POS terminal (100). |
