PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gesture recognition device that recognizes a gesture so that an operation desired by a user is transmitted to a device.SOLUTION: A gesture recognition device includes: photographing means that photographs at least a part of a user's body; distance recognition means that recognizes a distance between two or more predetermined portions in the at least the part of the user's body which was photographed by the photographing means, on the basis of three-dimensional coordinates for each of the predetermined portions; and function execution means that executes a predetermined function according to the distance between the predetermined portions recognized by the distance recognition means.
