STATIC CONTAINMENT COOLING FILTER VENT SYSTEM AND NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely cool a reactor containment and, at the same time, prevent the leakage of radioactive substances and hydrogen even if a core meltdown accident finally occurs at a time of the occurrence of a transient event such as the loss of all AC power.SOLUTION: A static containment cooling filter vent system according to an embodiment comprises: an external well 32; a scrubbing pool 33 provided within the external well 32; a coolant pool 13 installed in upper portions of a dry well 4 and the external well 32; a heat exchanger 16 partially submerged in coolant 14; a gas feed pipe 20 whose one end is connected to an inlet plenum 17 of the heat exchanger 16 and whose other end is connected to a gas phase portion of a reactor containment 3; a condensate water return pipe 21 whose one end is connected to an outlet plenum 18 of the heat exchanger 16 and whose other end is connected to an interior of the reactor containment 3; and a gas vent pipe 22 whose one end is connected to the outlet plenum 18 and whose other end is submerged and installed in the scrubbing pool 33.
