A method for passing content to at least one communicator device. The user of a communicator device registers with at least one service provider for delivering a plurality of different types of content to be passed to the at least one communicator device. A user defined priority is assigned to the at least one type of content. The user defined priority is stored on a computer readable medium. The different types of content are passed to the at least one communicator device based on the user defined priority.

1. A method of outputting content to a communicator device via a first service provider or a second service provider, the second service provider having a bandwidth limitation, the method comprising:
determining whether the first service provider is available to pass the content to the communicator device; receiving a user-defined priority indicating whether the content should be received by the communicator device via the second service provider; and passing the content, based on the determination that the first service provider is available, such that the communicator device receives the content via the first service provider; or passing the content, based on the determination that the first service provider is not available and the user-defined priority, such that the communicator device receives the content via the second service provider; or rejecting the content, based on the user-defined priority, such that the communicator device does not receive the content via the second service provider.
