A device (D) for raising a vehicle seat (SI), comprising: a raising module (MR) for varying the vertical position of a seat part framework (AA) when the rotary part (PR) is driven in rotation, a control (CR) passing through a lateral casing (CL) of the seat (SI) that conceals the raising module (MR) and causes its rotary part (PR) to rotate when it is driven in rotation, and a spacer part (PE) that is positioned between the lateral casing (CL) and the rotary part (PR), being fixedly secured to the latter and to the control (CR) so as to transmit its rotation to the rotary part (PR), and is designed not to deform when it is pressed against the raising module (MR) by the lateral casing (CL) during a deformation of the latter (CL) brought about by the pressing of a seatbelt strap (SC).
