PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device that allows appropriate and fast interpupillary adjustment for each observer.SOLUTION: The image display device is to be used by attaching to an observer's head and includes a left eye display unit having an optical part to form a virtual image for a left eye of the observer, a right eye display unit having an optical part to form a virtual image for a right eye of the observer, and an interpupillary adjustment mechanism to adjust a distance between the left eye display unit and the right eye display unit. The interpupillary adjustment mechanism includes: a first adjustment mechanism that can simultaneously adjust a position of the left eye display unit and a position of the right eye display unit; and a second adjustment mechanism that can independently adjust only one of the position of the left eye display unit and the position of the right eye display unit. |
