PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus that easily set the file name of a file to be stored in a folder by using a character string showing the name of the folder or a character string of a folder included in a path reaching the folder, a control method of an information processing apparatus, and a program.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: designation means for designating a folder to store a file from among a plurality of folders; display means for displaying candidates of a character string for setting the name of the file on the basis of a folder path of the folder designated by the designation means; selection means for selecting a character string from the plurality of character strings displayed by the display means; and setting means for setting the character string selected by the selection means as the name of the file.
