METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CUCUMBER FRUITS

The present invention relates to methods for the cultivation of cucumber plants and especially to methods for the production of cucumber fruits thereof. Specifically, the present invention relates to methods for production of cucumber fruits, the methods comprise the steps of a) grafting a cucumber plant, Cucumis sativus, on an rootstock thereby providing a grafted cucumber plant; and b) growing the grafted cucumber plant using high-wire cultivation wherein the cucumber fruits are continuously harvested during the growth of the grafted cucumber plant. The present rootstock preferably is not a Cucumis sativus rootstock and the present grafted cucumber plant does not grow, or is rooted in soil.
