A cylinder cover for the cylinder of a steam gun, comprising a cover body (1) and a valve plate (5); an exhaust port (2) and a Zerk fitting (3) are provided on the cover body (1); an auxiliary heating rod (4) is provided in the cover body; the valve plate is arranged on an inner wall of the cover body, and an inner end of the Zerk fitting is connected to a pressure spring (8); a ball (7) is held within one end of the pressure spring connected to the inner end of the Zerk fitting; the pressure spring and the ball are able to move synchronously, and the diameters of the pressure spring and of the ball are greater than the inner diameter of the Zerk fitting. The present cylinder cover shows improved sealing performance while also having excellent exhaust effect. The auxiliary heating rod provided in the cover body allows preheating of same to a predetermined temperature, thus also allowing air in the cylinder to be heated, thereby improving air compression in the cylinder and increasing the pressure.
