A sprinkler device for use in a fire sprinkler system, the device comprising a body having a flow passage therethrough, said flow passage communicating with a sprinkler head mounted on said body, means for coupling the body to a source of water under pressure such that said source of water under pressure communicates with said sprinkler head via said flow passage, at least one indicating device being slidably mounted within said body for movement between a retracted position and an extended position, wherein an inner end of said at least one indicating device communicates with said flow passage, means being provided for biasing the at least one indicating device to its retracted position, the biasing means being overcome when the water pressure in the flow passage exceeds a predetermined threshold to move the at least one indicating device towards its extended position such that the at least one indicating device provides a visual indication of the presence of water pressure within said flow passage. |
